Company foundation date and who was involved and the idea behind it

LignEasy Oy was founded by Eric Enqvist and Ville Tarvo, both bringing over a decade of experience in the biorefinery sector. Lignin had long been on their radar — a complex, still partially unknown, and vastly underutilized material. As one of the most abundant natural resources, it was clear to them that new technology was needed to unlock its potential and advance the circular bioeconomy.
Established in 2022 under the umbrella of SciTech-Service Oy, LignEasy was created in an environment where innovation could thrive — supported by a panel of experts and access to state-of-the-art equipment to move from idea to proof of concept.
